It might seem counterintuitive to wash your skin with a charcoal soap, but don't worry, charcoal is great for your skin. Strange as it may seem activated charcoal does wonders to brighten the complexion and cleanse pores.
For over 10,000 years Charcoal has been used in Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine to detox the body. It works by binding to toxins and chemicals in the skin, deeply penetrating pores and capturing dirt and grime so you can easily wash them away. This means the topical use of charcoal can be effective for pore decongestion, making it excellent for oily, blemish prone skin.
It is combined with Palmarosa and Grapefruit essential oils, a cleansing and antioxidant rich blend of essential oils to help skin retain its natural moisture. You can use this soap as part of your daily routine for face, hands and body.
All of Wild Sage + Co soaps are made with 100% natural, Vegan ingredients and lovingly crafted at their cottage in the Herefordshire countryside.
Wild Sage + Co uses the cold process method when making all our soaps and also a process called super-fatting. Doing this allows them to keep the free oils and the naturally occurring glycerine. This is what makes them so exceptionally moisturising.

Wild Sage + Co Charcoal Detox Soap Bar
Since these hand crafted soaps have no chemical preservatives, they deserve a little bit of attention to keep them happy and prolong their lives.
All of Wild-Sage + Co soaps have a high percentage of natural glycerine which is great for your skin as its incredibly moisturising but it also attracts water so it's really important to keep them somewhere dry.
When you are not using them it's best to keep them out of water on a well drained surface so that it completely dries between uses. Use a soap dish (wooden dishes with open slats are perfect) or you could even be a bit creative and use a few pebbles from the garden.
This will help make it last so you can get the most from your soap and enjoy feeling naturally fresh and fragrant for as long as possible!
